Warorot Market...

With good intentions of watching Hull City last night, I fell asleep, but never mind. Didn't get woken up by the 'cleaning lady' as there isn't one, so managed to wake up at about 11am....which didn't create too much of a panic, but never slept in this late before...
So to not waste the rest of the day, decided to go visit a market. Firstly because Thai markets are a amazing places, for to see things... and to smell things. The smells that are created within in these amazing environments are what Thailand is all about.
I got a Tuk Tuk as it was only B40, (80p). I was there, with map in hand and camera hanging around ones neck. The market I visited today was called Warorot Market, on the banks of the Ping River. The first smell was of food (as always, usually) so I slowly walked around taking in all the stalls of cooked food, dried food and raw food. But surprisingly no insects, apart from the ones eating the food!! An amazing place to people watch and stall watch....and the best bit...it's free!

If only this picture had scratch and sniff....it stunk!!!

A little piggy went to market...and ended up like this!

So after about a couple of hours at the market, I decided to walk to the east of Ping River to see what other things of amazement I could see. On the way I came across 4 Thai Monks having a stroll...

Fantastic sight, but good job I had my sunglasses on!

After a quick walk I then decided to have lunch, so found a cheap looking local place and decided to have chicken with garlic, rice and fish sauce....yummy.

My chicken with garlic...

My extra fish sauce...with chillies...damn hot and fishy!!!!

So after looking at amazing food, smelling amazing food, then eating amazing food, I decided to go visit a Wat. So after about 10mins walk a stumbled across this amazing Wat called 'Wat Kate'. I went into the temple decided to have a pray, so after taking my shoes off, which you have to before
entering, I knelt in front of the Buddha, and prayed.....so we will have to see whether it comes true!

The Buddha...

Outside the temple.....

Well, a tiring day so far. So after I finish updating this blog I think a massage is called for, so earlier I passed dozens of little Thai massage shops near my B&B, so will treat myself to one, either an hr body massage for B200 (£4), or an hr foot massage due to all the walking for B150 (£3)....bliss!!!!!!
